Video Calling now available on WhatsApp

WhatsApp announced yesterday that they have started to roll out the video calling feature for the for all the supported iOS, Android and Windows Phone device around the Earth.

These calls are end-to-end encrypted so that you have the privacy you want and no other person can eavesdrop on you. WhatsApp recently rolled the end-to-end encrypted chats and now they are doing a good job on doing it on video calls too. The WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum told Reuters :

“We’re obsessed with making sure that voice and video work well even on low-end phones.”

To video call with the other person, it must be that both parties have the latest version of WhatsApp too. To make a video call tap on Call button on top-right side and you will receive a pop-up asking if you want to place a video call or voice call.WhatsApp will be using Facebook’s server for these video calls.
