Kevin Systrom, the CEO of Instagram has confirmed that soon the app will be having live videos feature for its users. Instagram originally started as a photo-sharing app by which users can share their pictures and customize them by using some filters but after some time the company introduced videos then stories and soon live videos.
As live video feature is getting so it was a matter of time that Instagram had to catch up. In a interview, the CEO didn’t tell the exact date for this feature. He stated:
Live is really exciting for us. I think it can enhance what we’re doing. If I’m trying to strengthen relationships with someone I love, them streaming video to me live would be an amazing way to be closer to them.
Many users in Russia got to try the beta version of this feature last month. This feature will be similar to that of Facebook. The feature will be included in Instagram stories and live videos will have Live tag with them. Instagram copied the story feature from Snapchat and after that Snapchat copied the best features of the Instagram stories. So, what will be Snapchat doing in reply to Instagram’s Live videos.
