How to fix Keyboard freezing bug in iOS 10?
1. Updating to the latest version of iOS 10
First and the most frequent method of all is that you should update to the latest version of iOS as it may fix the bugs that were previously present. Right now, iOS 10.2 is the latest version of iOS 10. So, you should update to the latest version.
To update your phone via OTA(Over-the-air) Go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and tap on download to download the update and then install it.
You can also update manually using iTunes.
2. Hard Resetting your iPhone
Another solution to this problem may be that you should Hard Reset your iPhone. Don’t worry you won’t lose your data or anything else whilst hard resetting your iPhone. To hard reset your iPhone, press and hold Power and Home button for ten seconds. The iPhone will turn off and you will see the Apple logo. After seeing the Apple Logo, release the buttons and after your iPhone starts it will be hard reset.

3. Disabling the Predictive Text
Using the keyboard you might have seen some suggestions. They are called Predictive Text in iOS. They appear as a small bar above the keyboard. One of the solutions for the keyboard freezing might be disabling the predictive text.
To disable predictive text, head over to Settings -> General -> Keyboard. On that page scroll down and look for a label “Predictive“. Toggle its slider to turn it off.
4. Disabling Check Spelling:
Another solution for this problem may be turning off the Check Spelling. To disable/turn off the Check Spelling, head over to Settings -> General -> Keyboard. On that page scroll down and look for a label “Check Spelling“. Toggle its slider to turn it off.

5. Resetting all the Settings to Default
You can always try to reset your settings to default to fix this problem. Resetting the settings to default will only change your settings and you won’t lose any of your data whilst resetting your settings.
To reset the settings back to default, go to Settings -> General -> Reset. You will find Reset at the bottom of the page. Select Reset All Settings and enter your passcode if asked. Now your settings will be set back to default. You won’t lose any of your device’s data during this process.
6. Resetting your iPhone
If none of the aforementioned solutions worked then you might be out of luck and the last option to fix this problem is to reset your iPhone. You will be able to reset your iPhone from Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all content and Settings.
Make sure to create a backup of your iPhone using iTunes or iCloud. After resetting your iPhone, if you restore your device from backup and you still face the problem then restoring the device and set it as a new iPhone.
