If a messaging app doesn’t have the feature of video calling then most people uninstall that particular app and that app then lags behind than other famous apps. Recently bought by Microsoft, Skype is one of the most popular Video Calling application with over 250 Million users. Almost everyone knows Skype and it was one of the first apps that had the feature of video calling. Skype has the features of texting and video calling along with voice calling too. It services are really good and the sound and video quality is also good on Skype. Group Video Calling is also available on Skype.

2- BBM:

One of the most popular messaging apps had its ups and down but just a few months ago the users of BBM had got the capability to video call each other. The quality of video and sound is really good but it’s really not a good choice to switch over BBM if you are not previously using this app. Although if you are a previous user then there is no reason you should leave this app.

3- Facebook Messenger:

The famous Facebook Messenger has a user baseline of over 1 billion. Facebook Messenger has really good services to offer and you can video call, voice call and chat with your friends. There is no server problem during video calling(as for what I have experienced) and quality is really smooth. WhatsApp Messenger also has an end-to-end chat encryption which is also a good feature and if you want to switch over to a good messenger then WhatsApp Messenger is a top candidate.

The last but not the least, Google’s own, Google Duo. One of the best video calling app. Although it was released recently in H2 of 2016, but still this app has the potential to be one of the best video calling app for Android. It is designed only for one thing and that’s video calling. It has a simple and user-friendly interface and is easy to use and of course, the video quality is really good on it. It also has a feature called Knock Knock by which you can see the video of the caller before you actually pick the call.
